An important part of having your eyes examined is to ensure you have good eye health. When checking your eye health sometimes our view can be hindered by the size of your pupil. By using eye drops we can dilate the pupil, this would allow more light to enter the eye for a better view to check for many eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age related macular degeneration. For a few hours after performing a dilated eye exam, your vision may be blurry and you may be sensitive to light which can last up to 4-8 hours. Ask a friend or family member to drive you home after your appointment.
